History Centre
The History Centre of La Coupole is open every day:
– From 9.00 to 18.00, all year
– From 10.00 to 19.00, from 6 July to 1 September included
Closed on 25 December and 1st January
Yearly closure: first two weeks of January
Average tour time: 2.5 hours
Ticket sales close 1 hour before the closing time.
Seats are provided around the centre for those wishing to rest their legs. Bring warm clothing to wear in the underground tunnels (we also have a few fleece jackets we can lend you free of charge). Under the dome, where you will spend the main part of the tour, the temperature is kept at a constant 19°C. Our staff are always at hand to help you during your visit.
3D Planetarium
The 3D Planetarium is open at the times indicated in the programme on the 3D Planetarium page. Each session will start on time, so please arrive before the time indicated.
Each projection lasts around 50 minutes and includes a choice of films. A 3D Planetarium ticket is valid for one session only.
There are 134 seats, including 4 seats for people with reduced mobility.
Pets (even if on a lead or inside a carrier) are not allowed.

Audio guides
The tour takes place with the aid of an infrared headset which allows you to visit the History Centre at your own pace. The commentary is fully translated into English, Dutch, and German.
The headsets can also be adapted for people with hearing aids.
Free parking for coaches and cars
There is a car parking area and a coach parking area at the site.

Cafeteria
For a quick snack or something more satisfying…
Centrally located within the museum, La Coupole’s cafeteria offers a selection of goodies for all appetites.
You can eat-in or take away a variety of hot and cold sandwiches, as well as hot snacks such as Croque-Monsieur (toastie) or hot dogs.
And for an afternoon snack, we have a reasonably priced range of waffles, muffins, donuts, and ices.
