Find out more about La Coupole, History Centre and 3D Planetarium, two facilities of great educational interest

Originally a huge bunker built by the Nazis in 1943-1944 to store, prepare and fire their V2 rockets at London, La Coupole has since 1997 been an important History Centre for analysing and understanding WW2 and the space race.

A logical extension of La Coupole’s scientific interest, the 3D Planetarium first opened in 2012, and is perfectly complementary to the museum’s ongoing examination of history.

Depending on the time you wish to spend at the site and the themes you would like to cover with your pupils, many different tours and activities are available at this multidisciplinary facility. You may:

  • Tour the monument and History Centre using our audio guides and educational media
  • Attend a show in the 3D Planetarium
  • Visit our temporary exhibition

Teachers can also spend a half day visiting or revisiting La Coupole in order to prepare a future outing.
